How to get more done every day?

Sometimes we feel like we need more than 24 hours to finish all that things that wait on my TO DO list.

Sometimes we are not aware how we spend our time. We do some other things that are not so important in that moment. We get simply distracted by other things. Many times it feels like we just can’t finish anything, because we don’t know how or from where to start.

So, until 30-hour days are invented, we decide to follow these easy and effective tips for getting more things done in the 24 we have.

1.Get enough sleep. Don’t oversleep.

First you need to get enough sleep. If you don’t get enough sleep, you will not have enough energy to do or finish everything. If you get enough sleep, you will be ready to face all the challenges of that day. BUT, don’t allow yourself to oversleep. Read more about the effects that oversleeping has on your health.

2. Create good habits.

Take few minutes to list your priorities and to examine who or what is important to you. Make this list and keep it in a place where you can look at it frequently. Make sure the big stuff come first. Remember, life is short and moments are precious. Don’t waste time on the things that don’t matter.

4. Make a daily to-do list.

Stay away from huge to-do lists. Try to create a daily list of realistic things that you can finish that day. If you put many things to your list, at the end of the day you will be just frustrated and angry because you didn’t finish everything. Before sleeping, check all that stuff that you done. This will make you feel happy and glad. This can motivate you to get done more things the next day.

5. Set the timer.

Setting the timer can be one of the best ways to motivate yourself. Limit your time to check your Facebook before you start working or doing something important. If you only have 15 minutes to sit at the computer, then you have no choice to prioritize. You can also tell yourself that you only have 45 minutes to get done something. This can be a powerful motivation to get things done.

6. Turn off electronics.

This includes television, smart phones, computers, and tablets, or even video games.
For most people, myself included, the temptation is “just a quick check” and before you know it, a whole hour (or more) of precious time has slipped away. For your own good, schedule your technology-free time each day, for ex. by physically logging off or shutting down the device. This will help you stay focused on your task.

7. Don’t multitask.

You can work nearly twice as fast if you do only one thing at a time.

9. Learn to say NO!

You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage-pleasantly, smilingly, nonapologetically – to say “no” to other things. And the way to do that is by having a bigger “yes” burning inside.” – Stephen Covey
