Trying to manage your time to achieve all that you want can be hard. You might even feel like you have lost the control over your life. This can be very stressful and tiring. Trying to take the control once again can further make you to lose more time.

Probably you have already tried to find some tips and tricks to manage your time so you can save bits of it here and there, in order to achieve everything you want to do. Finding what best works for you and where you should focus your time can become a trial and error routine, only to end with error every time.

Magazines are now writing more than ever about how you can manage your time, how to do more things in one day and etc. Even we have a post on this topic that we wrote a while ago: “How to get more done every day“.

People are writing and speaking on this topic everyday and there is more and more information to steer you in the right direction. One of those people speaking about this issue, how to manage your time, is Laura Vanderkam.

Laura Vanderkam, a time management expert.

Laura Vanderkam is the bestselling author of several time management and productivity books, including “What the Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast”, “168 Hours”, “All the Money in the World” and a few others. In her study, she collected and researched how busy and successful people spend their time. By looking at their schedules hour by hour she tried to find a pattern and see what they were doing what others weren’t.

After all the research, she made a conclusion that we don’t build the lives we want by saving time. Laura said that “We build the lives we want, and then time saves itself.”

But how is that possible? We can hear more about this in her TED talk video where she is offering a few practical strategies to help us find more time for what matters to us, so we can “build the lives we want in the time we’ve got.”

So, as time menagementVanderkam said, in 168 hours a week, we think we can find the time for all that matters to us.

If you want to spend more time with your partner, with your friends, with your kids, or you want to study more for a test you’re taking, you want to exercise for three hours and volunteer for two, you can. It is all possible.

We truly believe in what Laura is saying and that is “There is time. Even if we are busy, we have time for what matters. And when we focus on what matters, we can build the lives we want in the time we’ve got.”

Don’t forget that no one is too busy. It’s all about priorities.

Start to live the life you want, now!
